Building a Small Community on a Large Campus
The Education Learning Community (ELC) provides new students with the career goal of becoming educators an opportunity to share an intensive pre-professional experience. This opportunity consists of taking courses with other community members, living together in a residence hall and unique weekly programming to enhance the college experience.
Expectations
Students selected to join the ELC must make a time commitment of approximately 2.5 hrs/week outside of normal classroom participation. The required ELC program activity will be held each Wednesday at 7 p.m. Programming includes, speaker panels, social networking activities, topical discussions and other professional experiences.
