The Instructional Resources Center (IRC) will be offering workshops/ seminars throughout the year on a variety of technologies. All faculty, staff and graduate students are welcome to attend. We hope you will take advantage of some or all that might be helpful in your teaching, research or work. Please let us know if you have a topic you would like included in the series. October 2 - WebCT - Vista for face-to-face classes, 12:30-1:30, Room 211
All courses now have a Vista site automatically created for each section. How can you use the functions of Vista, to enhance your fact-to-face course? Come and hear some suggestions and see how Vista can be used to support your students.
October 16 - Introduction to RefWorks, 12:30-1:30, Room 211
RefWorks is a no-cost web based software, provided by the KSU Library that allows users to create a personal resource database that allows users to manage references, generate bibliographies, and search within personal files.

Think a web based course is not nearly as effective as face-to-face learning? That it is all reading from a computer screen or learning on your own? Hear from your colleagues about ways online learning can be engaging and exciting, providing effective learning and a great experience for the faculty and the students.

Interested in learning how to make polished presentations from the video you have collected? iMovie is a simple but powerful tool that can be used to make effective presentations. This session will provide an overview of the tool and some helpful hints about using it yourself or with your students.

Considering recording your lectures to post to your vista site? Thinking about creating a podcast or adding sound to PPT? This session will provide the steps to follow for creating audio recordings for a variety of uses.

A Wiki is a powerful tool for collaborative activities with your students or with your colleagues. A wiki is a Web 2.0 tool that is used to post and edit documents by a class or committee. Find out how to create your own wiki, and how it can be used to support your students learning and your research.
