ksu excellence in action CDC - Center Family Connection

The Center Family Connection (CFC)

Parent participation is both a right and an expectation. Many avenues for such participation are made avaiable. The Center Family Connection is a great way for the parents of the CDC to stay involved with the teachers, other parents, and the school.

The school-wide parent/teacher organization is composed of parent representativeness from each classroom and the faculty. Specific purposes, as outlined in the by-laws are:

  • Offer multiple avenues for families to participate in the life of the school
  • Support the development of relationships among families and between families and teachers
  • Advise the school on policies related to families and children
  • Support the Center in securing resources for the children's program

Members

All members of the Child Development Center community are voting members of the CFC.  In addition, each classroom community designates room representatives for the CFC, who are chosen in Fall Semester of each year.

Officers

Officers are elected annually at the April meeting. Officers carry out their designated responsibilities and oversee the work of the Standing Committees as needed. The Minutes of the current year's CFC meetings are included in the three ring binder found in the CDC parent lounge.
